Provide constant pressure water pump set with variable frequency drive technology designed to provide GPM @ PSIG constant discharge with PSIG inlet pressure. The pump set should include but not limited to the following:

  • Goulds or approved equal vertical multistage SV series pumps with 304 stainless steel wet ends, single mechanical seals with silicon vs. carbon mating faces. Motors to be HP/3500RPM/ 208/230/460/volt/ 60hz/3ph/TEFC standard high efficiency close coupled type.
  • Goulds Aquavar or approved equal motor mounted variable frequency drives with on board software to allow communication between drives for lead lag operation and to stop motors at no demand. Drives to include capability for alternation of lead pump on time, over current shut down with selectable automatic or manual restart. Each unit to include individual pressure transducer powered through the drive. Site power to be phase (single or three), voltage to be .
  • Main control panel with NEMA 4/12 enclosure, main disconnect switch with separate quick trip fusing for each drive, 110 volt control circuit transformer, on / off switch for each drive, lightening arrestor, terminal strip clearly marked for all wires. All power wiring between panel, drives, and motors to be in seal-tite conduit.
  • Each pump set to be fitted with an Amtrol Pro-Access® series model accumulator tank or approved equal. The accumulator tank shall have a 304 stainless steel connection port with virgin polypropylene liner and a seamless butyl diaphragm and be NSF standard 61 listed.
  • Isolation valves to be full port ball type with bronze body stainless steel or chrome-plated ball, sweat or screwed ends, and Teflon seals.
  • Check valves to be bronze body with stainless steel spring loaded poppet and sweat or screwed ends. Velocity through check valves shall not exceed ten feet per second.
  • Pressure gauges to be provided on suction and discharge headers with ¼" NPT brass isolation valves and have 2-1/2" dial face, 316SS wet parts, and minimum full scale 1% accuracy.
  • Piping to be copper type L tubing sized for maximum velocities of 10 feet per second. Discharge and inlet ports are to be female NPT up to 2", and 150lb ANSI flange 3" and larger. Solder is to be lead free type.
  • Base frame to be Welded 4" structural channel steel with necessary supports for pumps and piping. No parts of the pump package shall overhang the base frame. All surfaces to be coated with two coats of Gavlon 510 industrial enamel.
  • Testing: The packaged pump system is to be hydrostatically tested at 115 PSIG and run tested with actual site suction conditions before shipment to assure proper operation.
  • Start up: A factory-trained technician will assist initial start up and perform training for owner's personnel. Minimum one eight hour day is required for this.
  • Spares: One mechanical seal and gasket kit for each pump is to be supplied with each unit.

Low inlet pressure adjustable switch with NEMA 4 enclosure to be located on the suction header. Stops all pumps and makes dry contact for remote alarm. System restarts automatically when pressure is returned. (Remote alarm device is provided by others).

Low supply tank level alarm provision. Stops all pumps at tank low level and makes dry contact for remote alarm. Tank level sensor and remote alarm device provided by others.

Over temp shut down. Senses dead head condition and disables that pump. Includes dry contact output. (Remote alarm device is provided by others).
