Niantic Expands Coating Services Niantic Seal now provides a wider range of coatings for plastics. With the local expertise of Central Coatings Company, an ISO registered manufacturer, Niantic can apply conductive coatings for EMI shielding and grounding, as well as non-conductive decorative or reflective finishes. Conformal coatings, pad printing, and silk screening are also available. Depending on volume and complexity, parts are coated using state-of-the-art robotic application or expert manual spraying. They look and feel like rubber. Cross-linked polyolefin chemistry produces physically tough foams with high tear and tensile strengths. Polyolefin foams can be thermoformed and adhesive or heat-bonded to other materials. Common applications include mounting tapes, weather stripping, dust and light gaskets, and sound/vibration dampeners.
